Information for Attendants Assisting Unaccompanied Minors

If you will be dropping off or meeting an unaccompanied minor at the gate, please contact America West at 800-235-9292 (TDD/TTY 800-526-8077) to make note in the reservation. As a recorded attendant, you will then be permitted to accompany the child to/from the gate. The attendant should proceed to the ticket counter to receive a pass to advance through security. If airport security at a particular airport prohibits non-ticketed passengers in the gate area (example: Baltimore, MD), America West offers escort service to assist the child to or from the gate and to make sure their needs are met as they board or deplane from the flight.
